I though I had pretty much gotten over the diaper rash stage with my baby when at then of long day, we were travelling back from Pune; I noticed redness around my 1 year olds diaper area…I guess it was my mistake 🙁 The Caladryl Diaper Cream had been waiting around for a review and I decided to put it to use. I was extremely comfortable with the brand since I had grown-up using the Caladryl cream for just about every accident; cut, burn, rash, breakout…
Being from the reputed Piramal Group obviously allayed all fear that we have as moms before we try any product on our child!
Caladryl Diaper Rash Cream contains 10% Zinc Oxide which is nearly double of what is present in most other diaper creams. Zinc oxide is a US FDA approved ingredient which helps in healing the rash.
Olive oil & Glycerine
Both these ingredients are excellent for the baby’s skin and moreover mild. Besides having moisturizing properties, they are anti-inflammatory in nature.
- Heals a diaper rash at 2x speed
- Prevents a rash from erupting with pro-longed use.
- Forms a protective layer against wetness in the diaper covered area.
- Protects against the friction that is caused from the diaper
- Forms a barrier between the skin and the urine and faeces present in a diaper.
The product surely lived upto its claim. The rash that was there (it was in a small area; about 2 inches) disappeared in 2 hours. The interesting thing about the product is that its does not get absorbed. It forms a layer and remains there to protect the skin. It’s important that you do not try and rub in it, just apply it and leave it there.
It’s a thick cream which is not runny at all but very smooth. Does not have a chalky feeling while applying and hence there will be no pain during application. I have been using the product for a month now and I have seen no diaper rashes since.
Well packaged in a 40gm tube with has flip lid and a very small hole to ensure that not too much of the product gets dispensed.
Listed Price: Rs. 184 for 40gm
