The subtle lessons of #womanhood that I learnt from My Mom that helped me shape my personality in the multiple roles that we have to execute in our daily lives shall be gifted down with the hope that it has a similar influence on my daughter as well.
The very simple things, and when they were said felt quite inconsequential but today, feel like the most expensive pearls of wisdom that need to be safeguarded and passed down the generations.
Women are multi-taskers by nature, But you don’t HAVE to do it!
Yes ofcourse, the multiple roles that we execute, makes us multi-taskers whether you like it or not. And yes, as a #women, we love to be perfect in every role that we execute. But, is it required?? Do you have to keep raising your own bar?? It’s okay to sit back when you feel like, enjoy life the way you like it and not be soo perfect in every role. The world still goes on and nothing really goes wrong when you choose to take a break. In fact, you will execute your roles a lot better.
Don’t bother about being judged
Do what’s best for you and your loved ones and once you have you done that, do not bother about being judged. People who judge you are not the people who care for you anyways! And when you do not fear judgment, no one can shatter you.
The #woman in you will cry on many occasions; happy, sad and even when people will not be able to understand why. Crying makes you stronger. It’s almost like the water going out, makes space for something else which gives you a new strength to battle, to cherish!
Vent-out your feeling, it makes you stronger!
Speak up, say it hurts when it does. Say you are scared when you are…and then see the magic. Suddenly the pain is smaller, suddenly you are invincible.
Prioritize people over things
Of course, you are always deciding where to focus your energies. Remember that people matter, relationships do….the other things can wait. Just makes it that much easier to decide.
These things were conveyed it subtle ways, at different points in my life, when things were great and not so great. Shaped up the #woman that I am today..happy…content! Hope to pass this down with the same eloquence!
