As soon as I saw the invite to this, I knew it was time to do something for ME! It was an exclusive invite to a bunch of us from the JAMMs Blogger Group for a lovely Saturday Afternoon Cookout at the APB Cook Studio!!!
Given my enthusiasm towards, what I call, experimental cooking, I knew I had to be there, and though, this was going to mean a bit of a drive and a bit of babysitting help from, well, whoever would be ready to help, I couldn’t miss it!!
Little had I imagined that this would be much more than just cooking, this was cooking in the most luxurious setting, a picture perfect kitchen, with all the things that you detest about cooking pre-done for you, the lovely team of Rushina and her assistants demonstrating some of their amazing recipes and a group of high-on-life giggly gals!!!
It was not just about baking bread for the first time which was resulting is this burst of energy, it was probably about the setting, the enthusiasm with which everyone was participating and the fact that I was doing something for ‘Me’, something that made me happy! And yes, coming to the bread, it was fantastic, just as bouncy as the environment in the APB Cook Studio!!
The fun just got better, when Rushina unveiled her secret recipe of the Spaghetti Aglio Olio with a twist to the ingredients, you cannot even imagine! This led to un-bottling of conversations and stories and the giggles to which there is no control when a group of girls are let loose.
Taking home the freshly-made bread was just one small reward from this wonderful afternoon, this surely did have the family excited, but for me, it was some sort of a spa or a rejuvenating therapy, it was my ‘ME TIME’ which had me recharged for quite a while!!
This lovely cookout by prominent food blogger, Rushina Ghildiyal was organized by Ritu Gorai of JAMMs. JAMMs is a support group for moms with the most innovative and creative ideas, connected on Whatsapp and FB through a secret group. Here’s how JAMMs encourages Mompreneurs. Their recent on-going initiative is the ‘MAST SANTA’ campaign where the idea is give a ‘Bagful’ of happiness to a Homeless Women!
